“Why We Sleep,” by Matthew Walker, Ph.D.

“Why We Sleep” is a book that discusses what I believe to be one of the most foundational element of wellness: sleep. The book’s author, Matthew Walker, Ph.D., effectively delivers insights about the importance of sleep to our health, the damaging effects of a sleep deficit (and how quickly we can get there), and how our modern world has disrupted healthy sleep patterns to the point that we are chronically exhausted and worn out. If you’re looking for one thing to improve your health this year, I suggest evaluating your sleep habits and committing to improving them. Happy reading, and I hope you love this book as much as I do! Check it out.
